The biggest condition I have is that we all keep an open mind to the idea that one conversation does not define us.  Sometimes we have conversations that need to be completely ridiculous in order to uncover what we have hidden beneath a persona that we adapted to protect something we lost.

I have undoubtedly reached beyond my halfway point in life and I have a lot of respect for all the variations of who I was, personas I adapted to survive, and the person I am today.  In one year I will be someone different, because I will evolve.  

If I share a story or event from my life I need you to understand that it is my own unique experience and I am capable of masking the details to protect myself and others.  I think honesty is important to have a clean connection with others so I may focus on identifying why a guest may be deceiving to themselves or myself.  I say this because sometimes people will recall a totally different conversation to defend their position, and sometimes a defense tells more about a person than the truth.

This experience is about stories that an audience can relate to, I have no desire to shame someone if it turns out they are lying, because most of what you know about the history of the world is a summary of someone else's analysis.  Lies are part of what makes us human and there is no evidence that lies exists anywhere else in the universe.  

Lastly, I am a Christian, I hold this experience dear to my core because I lived so many lives chasing and feeding addictions.  This life is nothing but a job interview, to show the creator of the universe that we are capable of enduring challenges, giving out love like the market is going to be flooded with it in the afterlife, and learning grace and humility to bow down and help a broken traveler in the gutter.  Without the grace of Jesus I would desire to be the worst animal I was created to be.  I serve Jesus because he is my Lord, but I fear "Christians" and their judgement of my journey to where you find me.  I have no desire to pretend to be clean and without blemish, because I know I would forgo the duty to my Lord to jump into the sewers to save a lost soul if my vanity were to overtake me.  I have worked drag shows, been a political warrior, and been to many port calls in the Navy so I know what stupid feels like; when you just want to be part of something that forgets you when you can't bring yourself to be a part of it anymore.
