Episode 061: Loud, Lewd, Gay, and Enjoys Gall (Fogged View)

The ride began intriguingly with a nice girl standing by the sidewalk, appearing anxious. It was clear she wanted to join the group I was there to pick up, but it seemed likely they would be rude to her.

The conversation soon turned into chatter that was too overwhelming for me to concentrate on while driving. Such noise is not unusual for drivers, but it crosses into disturbance when people discuss their sexual lives. I found this interaction bothersome because no one engaged in respectful conversations in a stranger's space. As a driver, I am uninterested in your sex life or the preferences that make you feel significant. If you enter a driver's space, conduct yourself respectfully in your discussions. I understand this is common among young people, but it's somewhat unsettling given they're young enough to be my children.

Unfortunately, this represents about one percent of college-aged students' conversations. I was amazed that this is what occupies their minds. When I consider conversations that make me worry the younger generations might ruin the world, this type comes to mind. Please share your thoughts in the comments because I can't articulate this any further.
